About Us
Reclamet is an established vehicle and metal recycling company based in Birchington, Kent. From our six-acre recycling centre, we provide vehicle recycling, recycled vehicle parts and metal recycling services to customers, businesses and organisations across Kent and the South East.
Recycling Vehicles, Parts and Metals in Kent
Vehicle recycling is at the heart of Reclamet. As a licensed Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF), we process end-of-life cars and vans safely and responsibly, from collection and depollution through to dismantling, parts recovery and recycling.
Our purpose-built facilities include a 40,000 sq ft parts warehouse containing more than 100,000 graded recycled vehicle parts, supported by around 1,000 cars and vans held for dismantling. Reusable components are identified, tested and graded wherever possible, helping extend the life of original vehicle parts while reducing unnecessary waste.
Reclamet is also an established metal recycler, handling ferrous and non-ferrous metals from individuals, trades and commercial customers. Our metal recycling services range from customers bringing scrap metal directly to our Birchington site to collections and recycling solutions for businesses producing larger volumes of metal waste.
A Licensed and Accredited Recycling Business
Responsible recycling requires more than simply accepting vehicles and scrap metal. Reclamet operates within the environmental and waste regulations governing our industry and holds the appropriate waste carrier and waste management licences for our operations.
We are a member of the Vehicle Recyclers’ Association (VRA), and our recycled vehicle parts operation follows the VRAC certification and grading standards designed to give customers greater confidence in the provenance and quality of recycled parts.
Our approach to vehicle recycling has also received national recognition. In 2024, Reclamet was named Medium-Sized Vehicle Recycler of the Year at the national ATF Professional Vehicle Recycling Awards.
More Than a Scrapyard
Modern vehicle recycling involves recovering as much value and material as possible from every vehicle.
Vehicles arriving at Reclamet can follow different routes depending on their age, condition and potential for reuse. Some vehicles can provide quality recycled parts, some may be suitable for repair or resale, while end-of-life vehicles are depolluted and processed so their materials can be recovered for recycling.
Alongside vehicle and metal recycling, Reclamet provides services including new and part-worn tyres, tested recycled vehicle batteries, vehicle recovery and specialist vehicle and parts services.
Together, these operations allow us to recover vehicles, components and materials that might otherwise go to waste and return them to productive use wherever possible.
