In September 2023, as part of a long-running ‘in-joke’, OhSoRetro Events had been telling everyone that we’d helped them find their pride and joy – the Chrysler PT. The prized car was paraded on Facebook and received comments of both praise and ridicule, which added to the ruse. No one suspected it was always destined to be scrapped.

However, two days later, it arrived at their Classic Car Show looking a little damaged, to say the least.

Having been pummelled and pulled around by a grab-hand, which you can see on Facebook, we brought it along as part of our display so that people could write messages in coloured chalk pen. After a full day of scribblings and doodles (and the odd choice of language), it looked quite a piece of art at the end.

The following day, it made its short journey back to the yard, where it was finally crushed the next day.
